How It All Started
Bob Axelrod has been married for 48 years and a resident of Clarkstown for the past 37 years, where he raised his family.
Bob is a retired Professor of Speech from SUNY Rockland Community College, where he was employed for over 33 years, and where he had been awarded the SUNY “Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Service” in 2009. Bob also coordinated a Speech and Hearing Clinic at the College that serviced hundreds of students and faculty with speech, language and hearing problems.
Locally, Bob was a member of the “Venture Foundation Board” for ten years, and a Trustee at the New City Library Board for the past 10 years. He is also a steering committee member of the “Retired Public Employees Association” (RPEA), which advocates for public retired employees’ pensions and health care benefits. Lastly, he is also a proud graduate of “Leadership Rockland”.
